Hello Longhorn Families : ) I grew up in Grand Island and attended UNK and UNMC College of Pharmacy. While at UNK I met my husband Craig, and after some years in McCook, we moved back to the Sandhills to allow Craig to work with his dad on the Lazy Bones Ranch. I am a pharmacist at Box Butte General Hospital and will continue working very limited hours during the school year, prioritizing teaching during the academic year. I have always loved science, and my extensive science background will allow me a great foundation as I pursue a science endorsement through the alternative teaching certificate pathway the Department of Education offers. When the opportunity to teach high school science opened up, I jumped at the chance to bring my enthusiasm for science and learning to the classroom. I will be working to include some "Sandhills science" specific topics in our work as well as more traditional lab and research activities. I am very excited and I hope your students are as well!
