Boat Races

As a fun and creative science project the Science teacher Mr. Spurlin challenged the high school science students to create and float a cardboard boat. Juliana Merrihew won with a time of well over a minute.

Hyannis School Improvement Fund Receives Generous Donation

A community service project undertaken by the Hyannis Sandbots Robotics 4-H Club resulted in a big gain for Hyannis Area Schools.  The club members held a bake sale on February 8 during the Hyannis-Garden County basketball games, selling over 50 items by silent auction.  Bids of up to $30 were received, along with multiple cash donations.  The students had chosen Hyannis Area Schools Improvement Fund as the recipient of the proceeds, and were excited to present Superintendent Travis Hawk with a check for . . .

Hyannis Area Schools honored the soldiers who died in Afghanistan during our Veteran's Day Assembly.  Thanks to all the servicemen and women who have served and currently serve our country.   Mrs. Anderson did a wonderful job organizing the program with Mike Wintz.  All the students did a fantastic job!

Congrats Youth Volleyball

Our youth volleyball 3-4th grade team placed 3rd and 5-6th grade placed 4th at the Mullen tournament on Saturday October 30th.

2:00 Dismissal 4/1

Hyannis Area Schools will have a 2:00 pm dismissal on Thursday, April 1st and there will be no school or remote learning on Friday, April 2nd.
